Liz Rides with Team in Training

I have joined Team in Training to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I will be riding in the Solvang Century ride this upcoming March, and this blog is all about my progress.

About Me

Liz: Like most people I learned to bike ride as a kid with training wheels and the perseverance of parents. Since moving to L.A. a year and a half ago I decided to bike the mile to work everyday to get some exercise, and from there started biking around the coast on weekends. I became involved with Team in Training after witnessing the dedication, strength and endurance of some friends of mine who trained with them to compete in the Malibu Triathlon. I was so inspired, I put down my ice cream sundae, jumped off my couch, and headed to an info meeting. I learned about TNT, and the work they have done to help fund the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, an organization dedicated to funding research for Hodgkin's disease, leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma. They also provide aid to help improve the quality of life for the patients and their families. I realized that I could put my growing passion for cycling towards this wonderful cause, and signed myself up.
